As a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of New Jersey, it is my job to collaborate with
clients in discovering practical tools that they can utilize to effectively manage their symptoms,
outside of therapy. I help clients to strengthen their sense of resiliency, knowing that they have
the power to choose to use the skills discussed in sessions to better their lives. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults and help them to better understand their issues and the factors maintaining them; this awareness helps my clients to regain control and live more fulfilling and joyous lives. I help my clients to see that their past does not define their future, as well as strengthen their willingness to accept current circumstances so that they can live more presently, each day.
My experience in the mental health field began as a psychology major at West Chester
University of Pennsylvania. It was there that I became interested in promoting body positivity
and helping those who struggle with eating disorders. This interest culminated into a true passion after receiving my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rowan University. I have found that working with co-occurring mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, and
challenging dysfunctional thoughts specific to food, weight, and evaluation of self, has proven to
be most effective. Hearing clients’ stories that have influenced their mental health has given rise
to a more recent interest in treating those suffering from traumatic pasts.
As a therapist, I am here to validate my clients’ feelings and provide them with a safe space where they can feel comfortable allowing themselves to open up about their past experiences. Promoting self-
compassion and care, we will actively work together to write these experiences as part of the
past, harnessing our inner values as motivation for a successful future. Additionally, I am OutCare certified as culturally competent in the care of the LGBTQ+ community.
If you are ready to take control of your life but aren’t quite sure how, I can provide you with the
resources to do so. From personal experience, I know how hard it can be to balance the many
demands of everyday life, especially when one is struggling with their mental health. I hear you,
I support you, and I accept you; together, we can help you to get through whatever challenges
you are facing.
